Psalm 86

Make this your prayer today. And believe that anything can be done with God. Blessings

"Hear, O Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
Guard my life, for I am devoted to you.
You are my God; save your servant
who trusts in you.
Have mercy on me, O Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant,
for to you, O Lord,
I lift up my soul.
You are forgiving and good, O Lord,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
In the day of my trouble I will call to you,
for you will answer me.
Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, O Lord;
they will bring glory to your name.
For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.
Teach me your way, O Lord,
and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever."

"You are not a physical being having these weekly spiritual experiences. You are a spiritual being having a temporary physical experience. Because it's the spiritual part of you that's going to live forever."

twenty eleven

bahh, I have no idea what I'm about to type. So in advance forgive me for any sporadic-ness that follows.

Today is January 1, 2011. How in the world did this happen? I have no idea where my first semester in college went. 2010 was a GREAT YEAR. Let's highlight some of the amazingness. First, God was good like always. I learned a lot in 2010 and grew a lot in the Lord. Alabama won a National Championship to start the year off right. Then we won the High School Cheerleading National Championship. Boom. Followed by a last spring break and prom with all my best friends. Then I graduated high school (which was one of the most emotional and exciting times of my life.. I loved high school). For the next 7 weeks after graduation I worked in Etna, California at JH Ranch. Then I came home to start college at Alabama. What an exciting year! I know the Lord has SO much in store for me in 2011. And I can't wait til 2012 when I can look back and see how faithful He is!

Regarding "all the books I was planning on reading this break".. I finished The Pact by Jodi Picoult, which I kinda recommend? It's not one of those feel good happy books. It's actually kinda sad. But it is a page turner. Let's go with don't read that one! But I do recommend Even Now by Karen Kingsbury. Ahh, so good. I was actually inspired by one of the characters.. Emily. She has a strong faith in the Lord and throughout the book whenever there was any sort of need she went straight to the Lord. Literally, I caught myself being surprised when she would say.. we need to pray. Talk about being convicted. So a challenge for myself and for you is to go to the Lord for everything. It's a little self centered to think I can handle anything on my own. Seriously? The only reason I can breathe is because of God. So let's go to Him for everything.. even the little stuff. Especially the little stuff. Lord, I am dependent on You. You will guide me through 2011. Let Your will be done!
